Cookie Cups

These are simple cookie cups you can make.
Get out your mini muffin pan and spray the cups.
Use any chocolate chip cookie recipe and drop balls of cookie dough into each cup to bake.

Once they come out of the oven, they will look like the photo below.

I take a measuring spoon, in this case my 1/2 tablespoon and I use it to make the cups by genty pressing it into the warm baked cookie.

Keep doing that for all of the cookie until you have cookie cups. You will want to let them cool down in the pain before removing so they don't fall apart.

A tip I would like to share for removing these from the pan is to press your finger on the cookie, gently turn/twist and then they should pop right out.

Once they are cool, pipe some homemade buttercream or Betty Crocker rich chocolate icing into the center and enjoy!

Organizing Toys

I honestly really enjoy cleaning. Can you believe it? How many people do you hear say that?
I love to clean and organize.

My daughter has a lot of various people and animals, so I have a plastic tote dedicated for these toys. I also have matching plastic totes in various sizes for trains, Barbies, blocks, dress up, etc.

We ended up with a lot of toys that fall into the various people and animal category that I had to transfer them into a larger plastic tote.

I like dumping and sorting through the toys so I can pick out everything that accidently got mixed in and doesn't belong.....as you can see in these photos.....I have some leftover toys that belong elsewhere.

These are the times I also find missing pieces such as the doors that have been missing off of the Fisher Price van and the Littlest Pet Shop house.

I neatly stack each plastic tote behind the door in my daughter's walk in closet. I feel better and rest easy knowing that the house is organized and clean. It seems to be an never ending process!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

If you are looking for a quick and easy breakfast recipe, this is it! It is the Easy Cream Cheese Danish from AllRecipes.com

I have made this numerous times already. Any chance I need to bring a breakfast dish somewhere, this is it. I will give you a couple of tips from my experience. First, if I am going to need this in the morning, I bake it the evening before I go to bed. After it cools, I cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap. In the morning, I use a smooth edge knife to lightly make squares by running the smooth knife down the pastry inside the pan. After making my marks, I whip up the icing for the top and instead of smearing it own, I neatly pipe it on as you can see in my photos. I like to alternate my designs by piping a flower using a pastry tip and then piping a squiggle line as shown in these photos.

One more thing.......these taste fantastic straight from the freezer! If I make these for my own pleasure, I slice them into bars and put them in the freezer. I love how cold and firm the filling gets and it makes a tasty treat not only for breakfast but as a snack too.
